Director Material Management
Mr. Frei is the Director of Material
Management at San Diego Ship Repair. He started his career at SWM
in 1987 as a buyer and has held several positions of ever increasing
responsibility in both operations and production since.
Pat has extensive experience in the ship repair arena. After discharge
from the Navy where he was stationed aboard a nuclear submarine,
he worked as a machinist and eventually in purchasing, inventory
control and ship management at National Steel and Shipbuilding.
During this time, Pat completed his Bachelors degree in Business
Administration and went on to gain a Masters of Business Administration
degree at San Diego State University.
Since coming to SWM, Pat has been instrumental in developing and
furthering the goals of the procurement, subcontracting, environmental
and facilities departments. His mission is to make each of these
areas as efficient and cost effective as possible, while at the
same time improving the quality of the work environment for all
SWM employees.
