Southwest Marine’s San Diego Division Shipyard is United States
Marine Repair’s most
modern facility.
The shipyard is conveniently located on San Diego Bay and encompasses
23 acres of
property and over 16.6 acres of water area. The emphasis is on “full
service” ship repair,
and consequently a complete complement of fully-equipped shops are
maintained to perform any type of repair or modernization.
The San Diego shipyard has five piers with a total capacity of over
2,800 feet, and two floating drydocks with the following capacities:
